Outdoor signage in Malaysia faces three enemies: sun, rain and humidity. These are the real questions we hear from buyers.
Our outdoor displays use commercial LCD panels, not LED matrix boards. LCD has much higher resolution, so customers can read your menu or message clearly even from a few feet away. LED outdoor boards commonly develop pixel burnout (those green or purple stuck pixels) and require module replacement. LCD does not have this failure mode.
Our outdoor screen uses a high-brightness panel specifically chosen to stay readable in direct sunlight. The brightness level is matched to the install location during the site survey, so the screen looks clear from noon to evening.
Every outdoor unit comes in a sealed weatherproof enclosure with a tempered glass front. Rain runs off the glass, the electronics stay dry inside. The IP rating is selected per product based on exposure level, so a fully exposed pole-mounted unit gets a stricter rating than a sheltered restaurant entrance.
Standard fan cooling is built into every outdoor unit to manage heat in Malaysian conditions. The fans circulate air inside the enclosure to keep the panel and electronics within operating range, including during midday sun and high humidity.
SmartScheduler is one-time payment. You pay for the screen and the software once. No monthly fee, no subscription. Across 5 years on a single outdoor screen, you typically save more than RM12,000 compared to monthly cloud signage.
Your content (menu, promotions, video) is stored inside the screen, not streamed from a server. The screen keeps playing on schedule even if your internet drops. When wifi returns, you can push new content as normal.
Every component on the outdoor unit is chosen for sustained tropical conditions. Sun, rain, humidity, every day.
High-brightness panel that stays clear in direct afternoon sunlight.
Weatherproof housing with sealed edges. Rain runs off without entering the unit.
Strengthened glass protects against UV, impact and accidental knocks.
Circulates air to keep internal temperature within operating range during hot afternoons.
Power and data cables enter through sealed grommets so water cannot track inside.
Secure rear access for maintenance. The kiosk cannot be opened by passers-by.
The exact IP rating is matched to your install location. Fully exposed gets a stricter rating than under-canopy.

What is outdoor digital signage?
Outdoor digital signage is a weatherproof display built to run outside or in semi-outdoor spaces such as restaurant entrances, building facades, drive-throughs and exterior wayfinding. The screen is sun-readable, rain-resistant, has a tempered glass front and uses fan cooling to handle Malaysian heat and humidity.
How weatherproof is the outdoor display?
The IP rating varies per product, depending on the size, form factor and where it will be installed. All outdoor units are designed for Malaysian rain and humidity, with weatherproof enclosures and tempered glass fronts. We recommend the right rating during the consultation based on whether the screen will be fully exposed, partially sheltered or under a roof overhang.
Can the screen handle direct sunlight in Malaysia?
Yes. The outdoor display uses a high-brightness panel that stays readable in direct sunlight. Combined with fan cooling and tempered glass, it is built for Malaysian weather including hot afternoon sun and afternoon thunderstorms. Brightness is matched to the install location during the site survey.
What if the cooling fan fails?
Fan failures are covered under the standard hardware warranty. Our service team can replace the fan unit on-site without removing the screen. Most outdoor units are designed with the fan in a serviceable rear compartment.
What sizes are available?
Outdoor digital signage starts from 43 inch onwards. Larger sizes are available and custom sizes are built to order at our own factory in Malaysia. Wall-mounted or floor-standing.
Do you do drive-through menu boards?
Yes, we can build outdoor displays for drive-through lanes. Sun-readable, rain-resistant, viewable from the driver's seat. WhatsApp us your drive-through layout (entry point, order point, single or dual screens) and we'll quote based on your specifics.
Can I install it on a building facade?
Yes. Building facade installation is supported with wall-mounted or pole-mounted hardware. We conduct a site survey first to assess wall structure, mounting hardware, power supply and cable routing before quoting.
Is the price really one-time?
Yes. From RM8,999 onwards depending on size, IP rating and form factor. One-time payment. No monthly software fee, no subscription, no per-screen recurring charges. The software is included for life.
What's the warranty?
PC hardware is covered for 2 years. Display panels are covered for 1 year. Cooling fans and enclosure components are covered under the standard warranty. Extended warranty available on request.
How long does outdoor installation take?
Outdoor installation typically takes 1 to 4 hours depending on whether the unit is wall-mounted or floor-standing, the mounting surface, and electrical work required. We schedule a site survey before installation day so all preparation is sorted in advance.
What if my internet drops?
The screen works offline. Your content is stored inside the screen, so when wifi drops the screen keeps playing on schedule. When wifi returns, you can push new content as normal.
